Mr. David Fogle Middle School, Language Arts “My first year as an assistant coach at Central in 1995, the Boys' team won the District III Track and Field Team Title. I have coached three or four District Champions. I coached Ewin Jenkins, who was State Champion in 1998 in the triple jump.”
Mr. Michael Ressel Middle School, Technology Education “The hardest part about being a middle school teacher is that you don't always see the results of the lessons you teach. Many times, I have reached a student in a positive way, but I never knew it. When I see past students, I can sometimes see the results of my lessons and that is a very good feeling.”
Mr. John Brenner High School, Physical Education “The special thing was that I was doing my dream. I wanted to be a Physical Education teacher and coach for all my life. I was, and I am, living my dream.”
Mrs. Cherylann Hollinger High School, Science "I was the third woman to teach in the Science Department and there were two female pioneers before me. We used to be a very cohesive unit and now that we are physically separated like this, it will never be the same."
Mrs. Mary Menges High School, Mathematics “I really do enjoy working with students and seeing that moment when they understand a challenging concept. Sometimes this happens during class, but more often, this happens in a help session before or after school.”
Mr. Marty Trimmer High School, Athletic Director "My favorite thing about being a coach and athletic director is when former students come back and see me. They want to see how I'm doing and let me know how they are doing. I think that's pretty cool."
Mrs. Barbara Wilke High School, Art “I have learned much about religion and tolerance. I came from a sheltered, small town background, so learning about these issues in the ever-changing face of Central has been rewarding and eye-opening.”
Mr. Mark Zortman High School, Chorus “Central has changed a good bit over the years that I have been working here. I guess I am very appreciative for the opportunity to work with talented students and in a district that appreciates the arts.”
